Westgate Lake Resort and Spa in Orlando. The property looked beautiful on the internet. I couldn't wait to get there. We checked in on a Saturday at 5:00. I had booked reservations 6 months prior to our arrival. I asked for rooms to be joining or at least close together as we were traveling with my sisters family as well. Well, let's just say we were lucky to be in the same building. We weren't on the same floor. The complex is set up with about 30 buildings, six floors in each building. When you get to your room you open the door with your key card and then they have two more doors. One on the right and one on the left. We didn't know who was next door and had access to the hall area. The room was okay. The bed hard as a rock. The air conditioning was very noisy and the vertical blinds blew around all night and did not keep the room dark. The sleeper sofa bed sagged and the sheets were less than clean. The worse part of this hotel was that it was so crowded and congested with people that we could not relax. We left our hotel and came back about 9:00pm. We couldn't even find a parking spot close to our building. They don't have any hours on their pools. Kids were screaming in the pool until after 1:00 am and it started again at 7:00am. I had had enough and called the desk to tell them we were checking out. They were rude. She said we would get our money back but not for that night. I slept all of about 10 minutes all night. It was so noisy and uncomfortable. We got out of that place and checked into Disney's All Star Sports Resort. Low cost and a better feeling all together. I just had a bad feeling about Westgate and don't recommend it at all. With so many other choices in Orlando, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!
