I would not recommend this newly renovated property for families or honeymooners.
College students and conventioners seem to be particularly suited to this modestly priced
beachfront property.
The parking is offensive at $7 per day , and even though they do have underground parking,
good luck finding a space.
The gorgeous lobby deceives one--you would expect that the rooms would reflect the same
quality/standards as the lobby. Not so.
The rooms are small and dark, the balcony seemed too flimsy ( unsafe?).
The staff are surly and rude. The night that we checked in, with a guaranteed, prepaid
reservation, we were informed that the oceanview room that we paid for was not available,
and that we would get a Daytona Beachview ( meaning ROAD) room. The front desk clerk was truly awful--
she seemed unable to understand that we PAID for an oceanview room and that it was NOT
simply
a request.
I would NEVER stay here, even for FREE'
